Mohamed Salah has delivered a vintage season in 2024–25, reaffirming his status as African footballing royalty. He finished as Premier League top scorer with 29 goals in 38 games, guiding Liverpool to their 20th English top-flight title.

What sets him apart is not just his goalscoring but his all-round play: Salah also registered 18 assists, taking his total goal involvements to 47 in the league — the highest ever in a 38-game campaign.

Beyond the numbers, Salah’s impact was profound. He was central to Liverpool’s title surge, consistently turning up in big moments. He reached double figures in both goals and assists by December — the quickest any player has done that in Premier League history. His influence earned him both the Golden Boot and the Playmaker award, a rare double.

Even with speculation over his future, he re-committed to Liverpool with a contract extension, signalling his ongoing ambition.

Salah also played a key role in Egypt’s successful 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, scoring nine goals as the Pharaohs went unbeaten in the course of securing a ticket to North America.
