NBA power rankings 11/18/25

As we hit Week 4 of the NBA season, the picture around the league is becoming a lot clearer. Teams are beginning to show who’s built for the long haul, who’s overachieving, and who still has major questions to answer. With early trends solidifying and new storylines emerging every night, here are the Top 10 NBA Power Rankings for Week 4.

10. Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks have seemingly improved a lot from last season. The additions of Kristaps Porzingis and Nickeil Alexander-Walker have been massive so far. Jalen Johnson returning from injury has been the most impactful out of everything, and they are currently on a 5-game winning streak.

The Warriors have been solid and consistent from the beginning of the season; they have not had a lot of ups and downs, but they have just looked good. They will have a good chance to make a trade or two to be true contenders.

8. Minnesota Timberwolves

The Timberwolves are currently 8-5, and this team looks very similar to the team from last year. There might be a few changes, but they are certainly going to have a good chance to make a run later in the season.

7. San Antonio Spurs

The Spurs are the first team on this list that actually can and will make noise, it was almost completely forgotten that the Spurs had an all star just waiting to make his debut. He finally played this past week, and his presence has certainly been felt.

6. Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cavaliers have had to lean on Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley a lot more than they would want to, but it has worked a little. The Cavs have had some help from their rotation guys, but they are at their best when those guys run the show.

5. Houston Rockets

The Rockets already have so much chemistry for a team that had a Kevin Durant added to them; he has really shown he can fit in anywhere at any time. Their defense has been on point, and they are only building themselves up as the season progresses.

4. Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers feel like a completely different team from last year, if Luka makes the game requirements he will be in MVP talks at the end of the season. It has taken a team effort of so many guys to step up and make plays throughout the first part of the season.

3. Detroit Pistons

The Pistons have been so good to begin the season, Cade Cunningham is replicating last season, and Jalen Duren has taken a massive step up on both ends of the floor. It will be exciting to see if they can move up on the list for the rest of the season.

2. Denver Nuggets

The Nuggets are so scary now that they have taken building a roster around Jokic more seriously; they have built around him nearly perfectly, and everyone has benefited a lot from having him. The Nuggets are number 2 in our week 4 power rankings.

1. Oklahoma City Thunder

The Thunder have been and will continue to be the best team in the NBA. Their defensive pressure is unlike anybody’s in the NBA. They also have such a consistent offense that shows up every night.
