England officially callup Liverpool defender for December 2025 friendlies

England have announced their squad for an end of year friendlies – the ‘Homecoming Series’ – at Wembley as well as St. Mary’s Stadium.

After weeks of international commitments, there’s a collective sigh of relief among football fans as November signals the welcome return of club football.

The international break, while important for national team development, has left supporters eager to refocus Liverpool and the Premier League battles that dominate their weekly routines.

It’s a sentiment shared across the fanbase—the pause in domestic action, though necessary, tests of most Premier League fans.

Yet the calendar still has a few more surprises in store before the year truly settles into festive mode.

Indeed, England Women have officially called up Reds captain Grace Fisk for the Lionesses’ final two fixtures of 2025.

Sarina Wiegman’s squad will face Asian champions China PR at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, November 29, before traveling to Southampton to take on Ghana at St. Mary’s Stadium on Tuesday, December 2.

The 27-year-old defender retains her place in the England setup after being called up during the October international window, though she is still awaiting her first senior cap.

The upcoming fixtures offer Fisk another opportunity to earn her long-awaited England debut.

The match against China will see over 80,000 fans pack Wembley, with both games serving as celebrations of England’s UEFA EURO 2025 triumph while also providing crucial preparation ahead of the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifiers, which begin in March 2026.

Fisk has featured in seven WSL matches for Liverpool during the 2025-26 campaign so far, playing a regular role in a defense that has faced challenging circumstances.

Liverpool currently sit 12th in the Women’s Super League table with just two points from eight matches, having drawn twice and lost six times while conceding 14 goals.

The Reds have endured defeats to both Everton and Manchester City this term.
