Horrible Patrick Mahomes news confirmed

The Kansas City Chiefs’ dynasty may truly be on its last legs. The Chiefs lost to their divisional rivals, the Denver Broncos, on Sunday, and at 5-5, the team appears to be in complete free fall.

[Fans are starting to take notice](https://thecomeback.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs-lose-broncos-dynasty-in-jeopardy.html) of how poorly things are going and are ready for head coach Andy Reid to step down.

For his part, Reid believes there’s enough time left in the season for the Chiefs to get back on track and accomplish thier goals.

“We’re not quite as negative as the outside world is,” he said in a Monday videoconference. “We know what we need to clean up, and we need to do it, but the guys, they get it. Some of these guys have been through some pretty good seasons, and this isn’t like this one’s lost.

“We just got to clean up a few of these things, and the urgency level, obviously, we got to make sure we take care of that now.”

Some fans believe that quarterback Patrick Mahomes isn’t the same quarterback he was when he seemed as if he were on a trajectory to pass Tom Brady as the greatest quarterback of all time, and that he needs to tone it down and operate more within the traditional confines of the offense for Kansas City to be successful.

Andy Reid seemed to confirm exactly this after he insinuated in the video conference that the Chiefs are struggling to commit to the run because Mahomes is changing plays at the line of scrimmage.

“The runs are being called; it’s just sometimes they get turned into passes in today’s world.”

It’ll be interesting to see if Mahomes adjusts over the second half of the season.
