ESPN NFL and NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith has gone onto different shows time and time again to talk about sports and politics. One of the biggest political rumors that was going around is that Stephen A. would throw his name into the 2028 Presidential Election race.

Well, it appears as if he doesn’t seem to have much interest in that at all. With that being said, he is more to the middle these days than a lot of Democratic politicians. With Smith not having many intentions to run in 2028, he mentioned a different name to potentially run in the 2028 Presidential election. One name he believes that could make a ton of noise on the Democratic side is former first lady Michelle Obama.

Stephen A. posted a question on his own Twitter page about what he was talking about on his podcast in regards of Obama potentially running in 2028. He said, “Is America ready for a Michelle Obama presidency? I believe she could win it all if she ran.”
Smith went into depth in the video as to why he thinks that she could potentially win it all. Smith said,
“If Michelle Obama came out today and said I’m going to be the Democratic nominee, I aspire to be the Democratic nominee for the presidency of the United States of America. Who would beat her? Is it going to be Josh Shapiro? Gonna be Gavin Newsome?”
Smith really questions who would beat her. There has never been a female President before. Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris have run before on the Democratic side, but they both lost to Donald Trump. Michelle knows what it is like to be in the White House in Washington, D.C.
She was the first lady for two terms when Barrack Obama was the President of the United States of America. This is an interesting take from Smith. Obama might be the best candidate they have at the moment, and the Democratic Party has no idea what its identity is at the moment.
