Milwaukee Bucks Poll: Is the Bucks’ season turning for the worse?

Tracking the larger sentiments of Bucks fans week by week.

We’re awaiting news on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s MRI today after he exited last night’s game in Cleveland with a left groin strain during the late second quarter. It’s reasonable to think that the Bucks aren’t a playoff team without Giannis healthy. Just how long they have to identify as Giannis-less, we’ll soon find out.

By the same token, what teams would be playoff contenders if they lost a superstar for an extended stretch (to be clear, I’m not predicting Giannis will be out for a period of however long—I’m not a physician)? While a lot of teams—including these Bucks—might make the field in this Eastern Conference, how much noise would Cleveland make without Donovan Mitchell, New York without Jalen Brunson, and Detroit without Cade Cunningham? Not much. OKC seems like they could weather a Shai Gilgeous-Alexander absence, and Houston would still be good without Kevin Durant. Beyond them, I think the rest of the West would face real viability questions .

In this week’s Tuesday Tracker, we want your opinions on Giannis’ injury and where it leaves the Bucks in the short term. We’ll discuss the starting lineup, their season outlook, and your level of current optimism (or lack thereof) in this 8-7 squad.

As always, this poll will be open until midnight Central on Friday, and we’ll post the results later that day. Thanks for voting!
