'Bring more eyes on the club': Michael Ball expects Everton development to prove huge boost for …

Everton are set to host the 2028 Euros with the Hill Dickinson Stadium being showcased to the world as one of England’s host venues.

It has been a strong start to Everton’s new life on the docks, with the Hill Dickinson Stadium only seeing one defeat in the opening five Premier League games.

Not only have Everton been able to produce the goods on the pitch, but the club has been able to match those efforts with external opportunities sealed for the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Just the other week, Everton’s new stadium hosted an international rugby fixture, with the prospect for more to follow in the coming months.

The Hill Dickinson Stadium has already put the club firmly on the map when it comes to boasting one of the top stadiums in Europe.

However, there has been another development which could really boost the club’s credentials.

Everton to receive boost from interesting Hill Dickinson Stadium development

During Euro 2028, the Hill Dickinson Stadium will see its name changed due to UEFA regulations, which prevent external sponsorship deals being promoted.

As a result, the state-of-the-art new stadium on the docks will be known as the Everton Stadium during the European Championships.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Michael Ball has admitted that this could actually work to the club’s favour.

“Because of a ban on sponsors names, the Hill Dickinson branding won’t be mentioned, but I think it’s good news that our home will be known as Everton Stadium for the Euros,” said Ball.

“It’s a fantastic stadium which should generate fantastic atmospheres.

“It’s an opportunity for visiting fans to witness what we now see week in and week out, both at the ground and around the city.

“They’ll realise that there is another club in Liverpool who are on the up. Everton Stadium will put the Everton brand on the map and bring more eyes on the club.”

The Hill Dickinson Stadium has been a huge financial boost for Everton, but there could be even more opportunities to come as a result of Euro 2028.

It is understood that the Friedkins want to expand Everton into the American market, and being recognised during an international tournament may help towards that.

Everton’s new stadium continues to get better after Liverpool Council meeting

Clearly, it has been an excellent start to life on the docks, with Fulham fans left envious over the Hill Dickinson Stadium following their recent trip to Merseyside.

However, there have been some issues along the way for the match-going supporters.

How would you rate Everton’s 2025/26 season so far?

Everton fans have expressed their stadium concerns over transport, with the local transport links taking a real beating following the recent game against win over the Cottagers.

Although there may still be room for improvements, Liverpool City Council have held productive meetings over Everton’s new stadium, where positive steps have been taken.

There is a lot of time to iron out these issues ahead of Euro 2028, where Everton will be able to boast international games as the only host in the city.
