ASB GlassFloor, which provides LED sports flooring, has opened an expanded training facility in Orlando, in partnership with the NBA.
Athletes Lab 2.0, which is twice the size of the company’s previous hub, features a traditional hardwood court and an ASB LumiFlex full-LED glass court.
The wooden floor has been installed to allow professional basketball teams to compare the two surfaces in an elite training environment.
The facility integrates the interactive LumiFlex court – which displays real-time graphics, player tracking and performance metrics directly on the playing surface – with ShotTracker analytics for skill development tracking and Spiideo multi-angle video capture for the advanced analysis of matches.
Athletes Lab 2.0 caters for visiting NBA teams seeking to undertake practice sessions, while also accommodating National Collegiate Athletic Association programmes looking for elite-level training environments and data-driven player development.
The facility also serves as a destination for brands and media companies seeking to host product launches, athlete showcases and immersive brand experiences.

Chris Thornton, ASB GlassFloor America’s managing director, said: “We’re creating a home for athletes who are committed to maximising their potential.
“Through our partnership with the NBA, we’re hosting the world’s best players while supporting collegiate programs.
“Athletes Lab 2.0 delivers the perfect integration of traditional performance with innovative technology, all in a facility designed around the athlete’s journey.”
