We are nearly two-thirds of the way through the 2025 NFL regular season, which means the fantasy football playoffs are on the horizon.

This past week of NFL action brought us a 76-point thriller between the Bills and Buccaneers, a heated spat involving one of the league’s best players, Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders making his regular season debut, and several key players going down with injury.

High profile injuries

It is not atypical for injuries to be a major factor at this point of the NFL season, but Week 11 felt like a lot.

Drake London, Josh Jacobs, Jaylen Warren, Michael Penix Jr., Aaron Rodgers, Dillon Gabriel all left their Week 11 games and did not return, leaving their future status in doubt.

London’s and Jacobs’ injuries have major fantasy implications, while the QB injuries impact every skill player on their team, including Bijan Robinson, DK Metcalf, Quinshon Judkins, and more.

There is work to be done on the waiver wire for fantasy managers impacted by the slew of injuries we saw over the weekend.

Wide receiver letdown

Week 11 was not a standout slate for some of fantasy football’s top wide receivers. Yes, Jaxon Smith-Njigba (20.6 FPTS), George Pickens (29.4), and Drake London (18.9) produced, but numerous others let their fantasy owners down.

Ja’Marr Chase (6 FPTS), Amon-Ra St. Brown (6.2), Davante Adams (7.1), Emeka Egbuka (9), and Puka Nacua (14.3), all of whom rank within the top-eight fantasy WRs this season, underwhelmed in Week 11.

There is no choice but to start the aforementioned players every week, regardless of opponent, but you expect more out of them, especially when jostling for playoff position in your fantasy league.

The unreliable Chargers

It was a bad week to own any Chargers player in fantasy, as Jim Harbaugh’s team had its worst game of the season in a 35-6 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. After three straight wins and five straight games putting up at least 24 points, the Chargers put up a dud.

Bad games happen, but this is more about the overall inconsistency of LA’s skill players.

Pass catchers Quentin Johnston, Ladd McConkey, Keenan Allen, and Oronde Gadsden, all of whom have shown promise as weekly starting options in fantasy, have not lived up to their expectations.

Johnston, in particular, has been the biggest disappointment. After looking like a late-round gem to start the season, the wide out has finished two of his last four games with zero fantasy points.

With games against the Raiders, Eagles, Chiefs, and Cowboys to come, it won’t be easy deciding who and who not to trust on the Chargers.
