Enzo Maresca will already be aware that he is going to have to pick his Chelsea side for their return to Premier League action against Burnley without Cole Palmer.
It has been reported that Palmer is unlikely to be fit enough to face Barcelona in the Champions League, as the games start to come thick and fast for the Blues.
A tricky test to Turf Moor awaits Chelsea in the Premier League, however Maresca has been handed a boost in the form of some of his internationals’ travel plans.
Neither of Joao Pedro or Estevao Willian had to travel to South America, while Enzo Fernandez and Pedro Neto were amongst the players who took the international break as an opportunity to rest up.

Enzo Maresca must rest Moises Caicedo for Burnley clash
This should help the manager solve an issue which struck up last time the Blues were in action after international fixtures took place. Maresca made too many changes in the game to face Brentford.
With games against Barcelona and Arsenal to come though, rotation will be necessary, and the only player who the Blues should rest is Moises Caicedo, after his hectic start to the campaign.
The Ecuador international has played 95% of Premier League minutes this season, and even an opportunity to hand him a rest in the Champions League only lasted a few minutes after Romeo Lavia’s injury.
With him being the only South American to make the long-distance trip this week, it is the best possible time to hand him a rest, simultaneously giving an opportunity to one of their most promising players.

Chelsea’s replacement for Caicedo
Chelsea should look to hand Andrey Santos a start alongside Fernandez against Burnley.
The Brazil international’s impressive performances for Strasbourg saw him seen as ready for Premier League action, however so far he has made just two starts in the competition so far.
After reports that Santos wanted assurances over his Chelsea future, Maresca will do well to offer him opportunities where possible, and this is the perfect time to do so.
With Caicedo set to be crucial in both the Barcelona and Arsenal games, it is time for the Italian to trust that his side can pick up all three points at Burnley without his presence.
