What Adam Aznou has been spotted doing at Everton to answer David Moyes concern

Adam Aznou’s transfer to Everton will go down as one of the more underwhelming ones in the Premier League this season.

Clearly, there is more going on behind the scenes than what initially meets the eye with Aznou having failed to play a single minute of competitive football for the Blues.

Everton made nine signings over the summer, but it is the young left-back who has struggled the most to settle into his new life in England.

According to Everton News’ sources, Everton are looking to sign another full-back in January, alongside a new striker.

It is an area of the pitch where David Moyes is struggling with a lack of both quality and depth on both sides of the defence.

However, what Aznou has been spotted doing in training at Finch Farm will provide everyone around the club with some optimism.

Adam Aznou spotted working on Everton concern at Finch Farm

Earlier this season, it had been suggested that Everton were concerned about Aznou’s physicality as he suffers from a lack of minutes.

The 19-year-old has been forced to watch his teammates from the dugout this season, with no minutes from the bench in the Premier League so far.

On Tuesday, the club shared some images from their latest training session at Finch Farm, where Aznou could be seen in the gym.

The Moroccan defender could be seen working on his core strength with one of the coaching staff members at Everton.

A number of Everton’s players were also photographed in the gym, but it is only Aznou out of all of them who has not featured under Moyes.

It must be acknowledged that Everton will consider a loan move for Aznou in January, in a bid to speed up his development.

For now, it seems apparent that there is a big emphasis being put on the youngster to get his strength to a point that could see him compete in English football.

Everton face real struggle at left-back ahead of the summer

Frustratingly for Everton, it is at both right and left-back where they are not exactly blessed with options.

Everton News understands that Everton are concerned they may lose Vitalii Mykolenko at the end of the season on a free.

The Ukraine international is open to signing a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club in January if he has not inked a new deal on Merseyside.

How would you rate Everton’s 2025/26 season so far?

Mykolenko has admitted he’ll consider a new Everton contract, but there has seemingly been no progress made to date.

This situation has only put more pressure on Aznou to get himself up to speed and offer some competition for the starting spot at left-back.
