The season has been generally great for the New England Patriots, but some players know they can push themselves and get even better. Guard Jared Wilson is one of those who is ready to do more.
The young Patriots offensive lineman recently used one word to describe his rookie season.
“Unsatisfied,” Wilson said.

Wilson was the No. 95 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and was set to come to the Patriots as a center. However, the team has been using him at left guard.
He has adapted well to that change, but Wilson is hoping he can do more and develop throughout the rest of the season and beyond. He said he has allowed too many sacks (four so far) and QB hits (six for the season).
On top of that, Wilson has missed a game because of ankle and knee problems. But he remains focused on helping his team maintain its spot atop the AFC East.
Known for his versatility and physical strength, Wilson can push his way past or through opponents. If he can use his power, he will ensure his place as a starter for the Patriots.
He obviously has the right mindset, which is a major part of getting better. He is happy with what he’s done so far, but not satisfied, and is going to keep pushing himself so he can better help New England as it attempts to reach the Super Bowl.
