It was a rough Sunday for Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders. In addition to struggling in his first regular season action of his NFL career, the rookie also had his house broken into during the game against the Ravens.
ESPN was one of several outlets to report that the break-in occurred.
It is reportedly unclear whether or not Sanders had anything stolen from his house, and there are no suspects at this time.
Shedeur Sanders opened the season as Cleveland’s No. 3 quarterback behind Joe Flacco and Dillon Gabriel. However, after staying on the bench the first two months of the season, he received his first NFL action this past Sunday.
With Flacco traded away and Gabriel in concussion protocol, Sanders entered the game against the Ravens in the third quarter.
He did not have much success, completing only 4-of-16 passes for 47 yards and an interception. He was also sacked twice.
The good news for Shedeur Sanders is that it seems as though he will have another opportunity to show what he can do this coming weekend.
According to Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot, Dillon Gabriel is still in concussion protocol and Sanders is expected to make the first start of his NFL career on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.
