During the game on Sunday, Pittsburgh cornerback Jalen Ramsey got spit on by Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase. Chase was ejected from the game, and he also received a one-game suspension for his actions. Ramsey was furious when he spit in his face. They are both highly fierce competitors, and it is no shock as to why this happened.

On Tuesday, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin spoke to the media about what transpired between Ramsey and Chase. Tomlin talked to the media about how his cornerback behaved after the incident and said,
“I have no message if someone spits in your face. Do what comes natural.”
Pittsburgh’s head coach is defending his player because it is unacceptable for Chase did to Ramsey. It is not a surprise that he acted that way after he was spit on. If someone was spit on, they probably would have acted that way as well. Tomlin is always going to defend his players. If Ramsey was the one who spit at him first instead, then Tomlin probably would have said it was unacceptable in this situation.
