To say that the Washington Commanders have had a disappointing season would be a massive understatement. Dan Quinn’s team hasn’t been able to catch a break.
They’ve been banged up, and even when healthy, quarterback Jayden Daniels didn’t take a leap in his second season. Their defense has regressed as well.
In addition, insider Nicki Jhabvala recently revealed the Commanders’ struggle to find stability at a key position.
“The Commanders will now move on to their eighth kicker of the Dan Quinn/Adam Peters era,” Jhabvala wrote on X.

The Commanders went to the NFC Championship Game last season. It was one of the most surprising turnarounds in recent history, with three times as many wins as the prior campaign.
Unfortunately, their schedule this season wasn’t as easy as it was last year. They’ve had to deal with more playoff-caliber opposition, all while trying to overcome injuries to several key players.
The Commanders have the oldest roster in the league, and it has been evident this season. On the bright side, they will be in a position to make the most of this offseason and bring in the players they need to become contenders again. Given how much they’ve struggled at kicker, they should put an emphasis on finally finding a solution there.
