The Dallas Cowboys have faced their fair share of adversity this season, both on and off the field. The latest was a serious tragedy: the suicide of defensive end Marshawn Kneeland.
Quarterback Dak Prescott said he believes that everything his team has experienced can bring them closer together. They have been tested, and it’ll only make them stronger.
Prescott praised his teammates and said he believes the Cowboys can have a “special season.”
“Yeah, why not? I’ve been saying that. I’ll probably keep saying that. Why not? And it’s more about that we’re in control, right? We’re in control. And life’s going to throw things at us and it threw us a h*** of a curveball this past week. How are we going to respond? That’s what I was telling the team. To have a testimony, you got to go through a test. And this is a big test to our brotherhood, who we are, and to this organization, to us individually. Let’s have pride, and let’s honor our brother. And if we can continue to do that, move forward, carrying that light and play the way that we did tonight, why not?” Prescott said.
Dak Prescott when asked if everything the Cowboys have been through could propel them to having a special season:

The Cowboys’ Week 12 game against the Las Vegas Raiders was an emotional one due to the passing of Kneeland, but Dallas was singularly focused and worked as a complete and cohesive unit. In the end, they walked away with an impressive and morale-boosting victory.
This powerful statement from Prescott not only proves that he has full faith in his squad, but it also shows that he has adapted to and accepted his role as team leader. Against the Raiders, he completed 25 of 33 passes for 268 yards and four touchdowns to four different receivers.
It was a team effort, and that’s because Prescott believes the squad has a close brotherhood.
