While it’s been a year of struggles on the field for Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, off the field things couldn’t be going better.

Daniels already has several massive sponsorships, and we have seen his face across more commercials than he’s played in games — mainly those Campbell’s Chunky Soup ads with his mom.

While soup ads are fine, for now, hosting Saturday Night Live and being the next face of Gucci or fronting a campaign for Rolex is another level. And you need help to get there.

“Commanders QB Jayden Daniels is joining 3 Arts Sports — alongside Travis Kelce and Myles Garrett — to launch his production company and grow his presence in media, business, and entertainment,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter wrote on his official X account on Tuesday, November 18.

In Hollywood, 3 Arts has been the production company behind some of the biggest film and television hits of the last 30 years, including The Matrix, Edge of Tomorrow and Academy Award winner American Fiction as well as The Office, Parks & Recreation and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

Daniels Has to Deliver Results for Big Money

It’s a move that will only pay off if Daniels can produce on the field, which he did on an almost unheard of level as a rookie, when he led the Commanders to their best season since 1991 with a 12-5 regular season record and a spot in the NFC Championship Game. He was also named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

It all came after Daniels was selected No. 2 overall in the 2024 NFL draft after winning the Heisman Trophy at LSU in 2023. He was one of a record-tying 6 quarterbacks selected in the first round, with all of them taken in the first 12 picks.

This year, he’s missed 5 games — so far — due to injuries after the Commanders entered the year as Super Bowl contenders but now find themselves with a 3-8 overall record. It’s also not totally clear when Daniels will return from a dislocated left elbow suffered in a blowout loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 9.

“This move aligns with 3 Arts Entertainment’s 2025 sports division growth, including acquiring A&A Management and signing Myles Garrett, positioning Daniels to capitalize on his rookie success that propelled the Commanders toward playoffs,” X user Hollah wrote on his official X account.

Daniels Could Be NFL’s First $70 Million Player

Bleacher Report’s Brad Gagnon put out a list of possible contract extensions for the NFL’s best young quarterbacks before the 2025 season which included a projected 5-year, $310 million extension for Daniels in the spring of 2027.

Gagnon’s projection, which includes $250 million in guaranteed money, would represent a either a massive slowdown of the NFL quarterback market or a massive drop off in Daniels’ play over the next 2 seasons.

Consider this — the top price for NFL quarterback contracts went up approximately $10 million from April 2023 to September 2024. That was the time from when Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and reigning Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts signed his record-breaking contract extension at approximately $51 million per season to when Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott signed a 4-year, $240 million contract extension that pays him $60 million per season.

If we are projecting out a full 2 years, it’s probably more likely the contract Daniels signs won’t be at the $62 million Gagnon projects, but closer to $70 million.
