Smith was originally selected by the Raiders in the fifth round (170th overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft. He appeared in 36 career games and totaled 10 tackles (four solo). He was a primary contributor on special teams, playing 71% of special teams snaps in 2025.
Additionally, the team released T Leroy Watson IV from the practice squad.
