Too soon? Perhaps, but Jaxson Smith Njigba has taken the NFL by storm this season. Standing out in a college receiver group that included Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave should have told us all we needed to know, but still few expected him to be this good. We’re talking 285 more yards on 20 less targets than Jamarr Chase levels of good. A record-breaking start to the season has seen him become the first player ever to record 75+ receiving yards in each of their first 10 games, a rate that inevitably sees him on pace to break Calvin Johnson’s single-season record of 1,964. Argue all you like about the extra game, but form like that makes it hard to put him anywhere else.

2: Jamarr Chase
The constant flipflopping between Jamarr Chase and Justin Jefferson continues, and the former wins this year’s LSU battle. 861 yards and five touchdowns through 10 games played pales in comparison to JSN’s mind-boggling stat line, but most years would lead the league and see the WR crown firmly planted atop Chase’s head. Yet another injury to Joe Burrow makes this all the more impressive when considering the vast majority of his catches have come with Joe Flacco or Jake Browning at the helm. Nonetheless, Chase has done more than enough to secure the silver medal.

The **Rams**’ superstar continues to build from his record-breaking rookie season in 2023. The former fifth-round pick has done nothing but shock the league since he entered from BYU, breaking the Ohio State/LSU mould and putting up 2,476 yards through his first two years. He shows no signs of slowing down, with his 850 yards through nine games putting him fourth among all WRs this season.

Since entering the league in 2020, Justin Jefferson has shattered countless records including: the most receiving yards through a player’s first three seasons, the fastest to 6,000 receiving yards and the fastest to 30 career 100 yard receiving games. He is no stranger to the top of this list and undoubtedly will be there again, but others have caught up this year. His 747 yards this season is still among the most in the league, but it is unlikely this will rank anywhere among his best efforts.

5: Amon-Ra St.Brown
St. Brown’s consistent performance has been one of the driving factors in the Detroit Lions unprecedented success as of late. Three 1,000 plus yards seasons in a row including a whopping 1,515 with 10 touchdowns in 2023 is what we have come to expect from the ‘Sun God’, and this year has proven no different with 735 yards and eight touchdowns through 10 games. His exceptional route running and hands are perfectly suited to the Lions tricky, high-intelligence offense and negate any concerns that may have been raised over his slightly smaller stature, allowing him to be one of the league’s elites.

It turns out the flashes of brilliance we had seen from Pickens were just the beginning: all he needed was a stable presence at quarterback throwing to him. Enter, Dak Prescott: the master of extracting yards from his wideouts, and you find Pickens second in the league with 908 yards along with seven touchdowns, 144 of those yards coming against the Raiders on Sunday. This breakout should perhaps come as no surprise for someone who amassed over 1,100 yards and over 18 yards per catch just two years ago, but the transition to Texas has cemented him as a top-tier pass-catcher.

Drake London seems to get better year on year. A solid but unspectacular rookie season failed to see him separate from the Garrett Wilsons and Chris Olaves that graced his draft class, but his production has improved incrementally since, culminating in a 100 reception, 1,271 yard and nine touchdown season last time around, all career highs. His 810 yards and six touchdowns through nine games so far haven’t been enough to boost the lowly Falcons to any more than a 3-7 record, but things would look a lot worse if he weren’t around.

8: Emeka Egbuka
Egbuka has arguably been the standout receiver from the latest draft class. A blistering run from week three to five that saw him rack up 349 yards in three games gained him the headlines early on. His pace has since slowed but he bounced back with 115 yards and a touchdown against the Patriots two weeks ago. Tampa have been blessed with wide receivers as of late with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin both among the best in the league on their day, and with the pair in the twilight of their careers Egbuka looks more than capable of carrying the torch for the next generation.

As one of the more underrated wideouts in the league, **Sutton**’s name this high up may surprise a few readers. Entering his eighth season in the league, all with the Broncos, he has only two 1,000-yard seasons under his belt. He is however one of the league’s premiere red-zone threats with 18 touchdowns over his last two full seasons, to go along with four more scores this this year. His presence as a safety blanket for Bo Nix has been invaluable, and he has helped the Broncos to an unexpected league-best record of 9-2. If they are to make a deep playoff run, expect to see Sutton getting the ball in the key moments.

Long-gone are the days of Davante Adams being a perennial contender for number one on this list. The Adams we once knew is no more, but a reinvented version is still finding a way to terrorize NFL DBs. Playing support act to star man Nacua, Adams has notched 10 touchdowns on the year from just 43 grabs, a testament to the Sean McVay scheme. McVay has recognised that while his physical traits may be dwindling, the mental side of the game is as sharp as ever and manages to scheme him open at an incredible rate. Pair that with Matt Stafford playing like an MVP for a very effective receiver and a recipe for touchdowns.
