The Opposing View: An Insider's Look At The Seahawks' Week 12 Opponent, The Tennessee Titans

The Seahawks are back on the road this weekend, heading to Nashville to face the Titans. The 7-3 Seahawks are looking to bounce back from a close loss to the Rams that ended a four-game winning streak, while the Titans (1-9) are looking to snap a five-game losing streak.

To help you get ready for this week's game; we reached out to tennesseetitans.com senior writer Jim Wyatt with five questions about the Seahawks' Week 12 opponent.

There's always going to be a big spotlight on a quarterback picked No. 1 overall. What has Cam Ward shown in his rookie season so far?

Wyatt: Cam is making strides, while also showing he still has room for improvement. It was encouraging for Titans fans to see him guide a 95-yard drive in the closing minutes last week against the Texans, which tied the game. But he also turned the ball over in the game, his 12th turnover of the season. Cam has made some great throws, and he's missed some throws he has to make. But it's all part of growing as a rookie quarterback. Cam has proven to be a great leader, and teammate, and he puts in the work. Despite some inconsistency, I think he's given plenty of reasons for fans to be optimistic.

Obviously, the Titans aren't where they want to be at 1-9, what's the mood/vibe around the team like right now? And while I doubt anyone is looking for moral victories, does a couple of one-score losses against quality opponents show some growth happening as the season goes along?

Wyatt: Well, players are frustrated, and tired of losing. This team is coming off a 3-14 season, so dating back to last year the Titans have now lost 19 of the last 23 games. think the close losses have probably provided even more frustration, to be honest, because it's made players look at how a mistake here and there can cost the team a game.
