Police claim that masked thieves entered Sanders' home through an unlocked door while the quarterback was on the field, according to Cleveland.com. What's more, it was reported that the thieves made off with more than $200,000 worth of items found in the home.

Medina County sheriff's deputies looked through video footage and determined that the thieves approached the home from a nearby treeline. Although they initially had difficulties entering, they were able to open the unlocked door and use their cell phones to navigate the residence.

Though it was unclear what exactly was taken, the amount taken from the property exceeded $200,000. In all, the thieves were inside of Sanders' home for 12 minutes, from 6:46 p.m. to 6:58 p.m. local time, according to the outlet.

As of now, police do not suspect a gang or juveniles to be involved in the incident. However, Sanders marks the latest NFL star to be targeted in home break-ins, following a number of other stars, including Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Joe Burrow, who saw their homes burglarized last year.

In response to the string of break-ins that targeted professional athletes, the FBI released a statement on how said athletes can better protect themselves from the possibility of being a target. "These homes are targeted for burglary due to the perception they may have high-end goods like designer handbags, jewelry, watches, and cash," the bureau's statement began.

"While many burglaries occur while homes are unoccupied, some burglaries occur while residents are home. In these instances, individuals are encouraged to seek law enforcement help and avoid engaging with criminals, as they may be armed or use violence if confronted."

The bureau added: "Organized theft groups bypass alarm systems, use Wi-Fi jammers to block Wi-Fi connections and disable devices, cover security cameras, and obfuscate their identities."

For Sanders, he will look to bounce back in more ways than one after experiencing the break-in. Against the Ravens, he completed 4 of 16 pass attempts for 47 yards with one interception.

With his rough outing in the books, the rookie explained that the loss was on him and what he could build upon moving forward. "Losing isn't something I'm comfortable with at all," he said to reporters after the game. "So everything, I just got to, I just got to take this one. I got to take this one.

"I got to decompress. I got to understand like, you know, this really happened, you know, on my watch. So I don't like the feeling. And I know offensively, if I'm able to get out there and have an opportunity, I know that I'll be able to take everything to a different level. ...
