Steph Curry makes history, passes Vince Carter on NBA all-time scoring list

Golden State Warriors star guard Steph Curry made some history against the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night. With his point production in the first half of the contest, Curry passed Vince Carter to move to No. 22 on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. Carter scored 25,728 points over the course of his career.

The careers of Curry and Carter overlapped, as the two played against each other 29 times on an NBA court -- 23 of those matchups came during the regular season, while six occurred in the playoffs.

Curry turned 37 earlier this year, but he's still playing at an elite level, so he should have an opportunity to pass several other legends as he continues to climb up the list. He needs just a couple hundred more points to pass Kevin Garnett and move into the No. 21 spot. Then, the likes of John Havlicek, Paul Pierce and Tim Duncan will be in his sights.
