NFL Week 11 WINNERS & LOSERS: Chase suspended as contenders strengthen their playoff bids
Week 11 in the NFL witnesses several teams try to take a stranglehold in their quest for division titles, while others may have had the preverbal nail in the coffin put into their season.
The week kicked off with the New England Patriots picking up a 27-14 win over the division rival New York Jets on Thursday Night Football. New England was able to keep a two-game division lead over the Buffalo Bills, who were able to pick up a 44-32 win of their own against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The other team in the AFC East was also able to pickup a win after the Miami Dolphins defeated the Washington Commanders 16-13 in overtime, as the team continues to play hard for head coach Mike McDaniels whose job is very much on the hot seat.
Elsewhere in the NFC East the New York Giants also suffered a defeat against the Green Bay Packers. It was not all bad news for the division however after the Philadelphia Eagles picked up a hard fought win against the Detroit Lions and the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football as Quinnen Williams made his Cowboys debut following a deadline day trade from the New York Jets.
Shedeur Sanders finally made his long awaited NFL regular season debut for the Cleveland Browns after starting quarterback Dillon Gabriel was injured and placed into concussion protocol. Sanders debut ended in a shaky performance and a 23-16 loss to the Cleveland Browns.
In other AFC North news the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in a game that had lingering consequences for both teams. Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers suffered a fracture in his left wrist, while Bengals wideout Ja'Marr Chase was suspended for spitting on Jalen Ramsey.
Elsewhere the San Francisco 49ers picked up a 41-22 win over the Arizona Cardinals, the Jacksonville Jaguars absolutely embarrassed the Los Angeles Chargers, and the Houston Texans and Carolina Panthers picked up division wins.
