**Liverpool are reportedly planning a mammoth offer for Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr, with FSG showing their ambition in the transfer market.**
The Reds have witnessed the world-class brilliance of the Brazilian down the years, with the 25-year-old scoring five times against them in total, one of which came in the 2022 Champions League final.
While Madrid clearly value Vinicius greatly, there have been murmurs of him having an up-and-down relationship with Xabi Alonso since the Spaniard’s arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu earlier this year.
The Brazil star won’t be an easy man to prise away, but a [report from Spain](https://www.fichajes.net/noticias/bombazo-oferta-100-millones-vinicius-20251118.html) claims that Liverpool are readying a £88m offer for his services.
The Reds are looking for further attacking signings, not least because of Mohamed Salah being out of form and not getting any younger, and it is claimed that their “intention is to build a dynamic offensive line with a great margin of growth, something that the directive sees as a fundamental step to compete again in the European elite.”
**Is Vinicius a genuine option for Liverpool?**
-----------------------------------------------
In truth, it is hard to see Liverpool being able to sign Vinicius, even if he isn’t entirely happy at Madrid currently, with his wages potentially out of even the Reds’ price range, given the amount they are already paying their current top players.
The winger would undoubtedly be a stunning acquisition if the Premier League champions did strike a deal, though, with [Carlo Ancelotti](https://onefootball.com/en/news/i-think-he-is-the-most-decisive-player-in-the-world-carlo-ancelotti-heaps-praise-on-vinicius-junior-following-superb-display-against-liverpool-36844723) waxing lyrical over him in the past:
_“Right now, I think he is the most decisive player in the world. Everything he does is a dribble away from a defender, an assist or a goal, and he does it for the full 90 minutes – he just never stops.”_
The idea of Liverpool having Vinicius, Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak in the same attack is something the supporters could have only dreamed about years ago, and it is encouraging to see FSG spending more than in the past.
As mentioned, though, it would be a shock if Vinicius ended up in a Reds shirt in the near future, and it is easy to see his issues with Alonso blowing over and him spending plenty more years at Madrid.
