Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are all set to bid for AFC Bournemouth attacker Antoine Semenyo during the January transfer window.
In a similar situation to Dean Huijsen and his move to Real Madrid, Antoine Semenyo’s release clause has been widely reported in the media, stoking interest in the 25 year old.

Semenyo was heavily linked with a move away from Dean Court during the summer, but after a summer of sales that saw Huijsen, Mark Travers, Illia Zabarnyi, Milos Kerkez, Dango Ouattara, Jaidon Anthony, Philip Billing and Luis Sinisterra depart for a combined €236.8 million (according to transfermarkt), the Cherries surprised everyone when Antoine Semenyo actually signed a new 5-year contract.
However, that new deal reportedly includes arguably an undervalued £60 million, plus £5 million in add-ons buy-out clause during the January transfer window.
The clause has a trigger date, reportedly to give AFC Bournemouth enough time to sign a replacement, however, if Semenyo stays at the club until the end of the 2025/26 campaign, then the release clause drops to an even lower figure.
Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are the clubs leading the chase according to Sky Sports, whilst Manchester United have been linked with Semenyo in the past.

Realistically, in the summer, if there was genuine interest in him, it is quite clear that after we sold a few players, we didn’t want him to go.
If you are the player and the club wants to add a release clause, as a player, you would want it to be an amount that would allow him to go. If the club said right, a release clause of say 90 /100 million, no way would he have signed it.
