Through 11 weeks of the season, we still have a two-team race in the AFC East. The New England Patriots (9-2) and Buffalo Bills (7-3) both won again as they continued their march toward the playoffs. The Miami Dolphins (4-7) kept pace while the New York Jets (2-8) lost to the Patriots on Thursday Night Football. With three of the four teams in the division again winning this week, let’s see how the AFC East fared in our Week 11 Report Cards.

It wasn’t incredibly pretty, but the New England Patriots got the job done on Thursday night football in their 27-14 win over the New York Jets. New England controlled things for almost the entire game, and probably should have won by more. But we can’t knock them too much as they’ve now won eight straight games.
Week 11 Offensive Grade: B+
Drake Maye and the rest of the Patriots offense put up 336 yards of total offense on the night as Maye threw for 281 yards. TreVeyon Henderson rushed for 62 yards and had three total touchdowns, while Stefon Diggs caught nine balls for 105 receiving yards. The Patriots offense had a solid game, but they still left a lot of points on the field.

Week 11 Defensive Grade: B+
The Patriots defense has now let up an opening drive touchdown in eight of 11 games this season, and Thursday was no exception. The good news is they only allowed seven more points for the rest of the game while limiting the Jets to just 245 total yards, so things could have been much worse.

Week 11 Overall Grade: A-
The Buffalo Bills bounced back from an embarrassing loss to the Miami Dolphins with an impressive 44-32 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It wasn’t pretty on defense (and the offense made a few mistakes too), but a win is a win. Especially against a good team like Tampa Bay.
Week 11 Offensive Grade: A
The Bills scored 44 points on the day, so we’ll forgive the two early interceptions and stick to an A grade. Josh Allen accounted for six of the Bills’ touchdowns and for 357 of the Bills’ 414 total yards. The only blemish on the day was James Cook being held to just 49 yards, but Tampa Bay has a good run defense, so it’s not too worrisome.
Week 11 Defensive Grade: C
It’s hard to get a better grade when you give up 32 points and 367 total yards of offense. But grade aside, the Bills defense stepped up when they needed to and stopped the Buccaneers at the end of a back-and-forth game. Sean Tucker ripped the Bills up on the ground, but limiting Baker Mayfield to just 173 passing yards was a win for the defense.

Week 11 Overall Grade: B
While the Dolphins won 16-13 against the Washington Commanders in Spain on Sunday, it wasn’t exactly pretty. The game looked like a slow-motion slugfest as neither team could do much to put points on the board. The Dolphins have now won three of their last four and would likely need to win out to have any chance at the playoffs.
Week 11 Offensive Grade: B-
The Dolphins had 311 yards of total offense on the day, but it didn’t seem like it as Tua Tagovailoa only threw for 171 yards. De’Von Achane continued his amazing season with 165 total yards on the day. He’s been the heartbeat of the Dolphins offense and is now third in the NFL in rushing yards.
Week 10 Defensive Grade: B+
The Dolphins allowed 379 total yards on the day, but still held the Commanders to just 13 points through overtime. While the Dolphins defense looked shaky for much of the day, they held when they needed to and did just enough to win in Madrid.
New York Jets
New York Jets running back Breece Hall (20) runs with the ball during an NFL Week 10 game between the New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025.
Week 10 Overall Grade: D
The Jets had a great opening drive and then fell apart for much of the rest of the game. Their defense looked unsurprisingly lackluster after losing Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams, while the offense looked unsurprisingly inept. Now 2-8, the Jets are in full free-fall mode after their 27-14 loss to New England.
Week 10 Offensive Grade: D
The Jets only mustered 14 points on the evening and put up just 245 total yards. Justin Fields rushed for 67 yards, but was only able to throw for 116. He’s now lost his starting job for Week 12, so we’ll see if Tyrod Taylor can do any better when the Jets take on the Baltimore Ravens on the road.
Week 10 Defensive Grade: D
While the Patriots had a good-but-not 336 yards of total offense on the night, they more or less dominated the Jets defense for much of the game. The Jets defense stopped Drake Maye on a few drives, but the Patriots very easily could’ve put up 35-plus in this game if they needed to.
