Details are starting to be released after Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders had his house broken into on Sunday.
The Medina County Sheriff’s Office sent out a press release on Tuesday stating that three suspects entered Sanders’ home at 6:46 p.m. Sunday as he was playing quarterback for the Browns against the Baltimore Ravens.
The suspects were captured on surveillance video entering and exiting different portions of Sanders’ home, according to the release.
The suspects were wearing masks and gloves and exited Sanders’ house at approximately 6:58 p.m., according to police.
They left with approximately $200,000 worth of property, the release states.
The Medina County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the incident.
It was a tough Sunday for Shedeur Sanders on and off the field as he struggled in his first regular season action of his NFL career.
Sanders completed only 4-of-16 passes for 47 yards and an interception. He was also sacked twice against the Ravens.
The former Colorado star entered the season behind Joe Flacco and Dillon Gabriel on the Browns depth chart. However, after staying on the bench the first two months of the season, he received his first NFL action this past Sunday.
With Flacco traded away and Gabriel in concussion protocol, Sanders entered the game against the Ravens in the third quarter, although the outing didn’t go as he planned.
The good news for Shedeur Sanders is that it seems as though he will have another opportunity to show what he can do this coming weekend.
According to Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot, Dillon Gabriel is still in concussion protocol and Sanders is expected to make the first start of his NFL career on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.
