Chelsea heading for disappointment as club unlikely to take up transfer opportunity

Chelsea appear set for disappointment as the current ‘trend’ is that Bayern Munich won’t sign Nicolas Jackson on a permanent basis.

That’s [according to SportBILD](https://sportbild.bild.de/). They cover potential future transfers for the German champions today.

Jackson is currently on loan at the Allianz Arena from Chelsea. He joined late in the window in a loan deal that includes a €65m permanent transfer clause. He has to play in a certain amount of games for that to become an obligation.

The striker has not managed to establish himself under Vincent Kompany as yet, though. He’s managed three goals and one assist in 12 games but just 420 minutes. That’s four starts in eight in the Bundesliga and just one in four in the Champion League.

SportBILD now report that the ‘trend’ is that his €65m release clause will not be triggered. In fact, Bayern are already looking at other options.

They have Franculino Djú from FC Midtjylland on their radar. Sporting director Christopher Freund is believed to be a ‘strong advocate’ for the striker. That interest appears to be pushing Jackson further down the list of options being considered.

There is always time for that to change, but with Harry Kane in formidable form, it appears Chelse won’t be selling Jackon permanently to Bayern in the near future.
