Avoiding fantasy football landmines is crucial to maximizing your chances of stacking the last few wins possible for your squad entering the fantasy football playoffs. Last week, DeVonta Smith was among the names that vastly underperformed their projections in a defensive battle between the Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions. Here is a closer look at some fantasy football studs and duds for Week 12.

Speaking of WRs who had a quiet Week 11, Davante Adams had his worst game as a member of the Los Angeles Rams with just one reception for one yard against the Seattle Seahawks. Fortunately for fantasy managers, that one reception took place in the end zone — which saw fantasy managers salvage an otherwise uninspiring performance with a touchdown from their starting receiver.
The Rams face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 12, who just gave up receiving touchdowns to Tyrell Shavers, James Cook, and Ty Johnson when facing off against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.
Expect Adams to give this Bucs’ secondary plenty of issues if Tampa Bay continues to struggle to pressure opposing quarterbacks in Week 12.

Kenneth Walker finally ended his six-game touchdown drought against the Los Angeles Rams by finding pay dirt on one of his 16 carries in Week 11. Another encouraging sign was his usage in the passing game, where he tallied 44 yards on three receptions — which were both season-highs for the Michigan State product.

The Seahawks have a matchup against the Tennessee Titans in Week 12, who have given up an average of 134 rushing yards per game to opponents — which is the seventh-highest mark in the NFL in 2025.
In a game script that should be positive throughout the vast majority of this contest, expect another busy day for Walker.

Ashton Jeanty, RB, Las Vegas Raiders
One has to wonder if Las Vegas Raiders offensive coordinator Chip Kelly’s job is secure. Ashton Jeanty saw just two carries in comparison to Geno Smith’s 30 dropbacks… in the first half. That is a concerning run-pass ratio that spent premium draft capital on a running back.
Was Jeanty involved in the passing game against the Dallas Cowboys? Yes, his six receptions were a season high. Does this feel sustainable? That is certainly far from a guarantee.
Jeanty finished with seven rushing yards on just six carries against a Cowboys defense that has been torched on countless occasions this season.
A matchup against a stingy Cleveland Browns defense makes this a scenario where starting Ashton Jeanty feels very risky.
