The Jacksonville Jaguars are headed to the West Coast to face off against the Arizona Cardinals. The Jaguars and Cardinals have played each other six times. Although the Cardinals have scored only 143 total points, compared to Jacksonville’s 142, they lead the series 4-2.
Fred Taylor, Kyle Brady, Keenan McCardell, and Jimmy Smith scored touchdowns. Mark Brunell completed 13 out of 18 attempted passes for 182 yards. Taylor led the team with 137 rushing yards, and Smith led with 147 receiving yards. Mike Hollis made the three attempted field goals. Brant Boyer had a 12-yard interception. Gary Walker, Tony Brackens, and Brant Boyer recorded sacks. Jason Craft led the team with seven tackles.
Danny Noble and Maurice Jones-Drew scored touchdowns during the first quarter, accompanied by Josh Scobee’s made point-after attempts; then the Jags did not score again. Chad Henne completed 27 out of 42 attempted passes for 255 yards and was sacked twice for a loss of 13 yards. MJD led the team with 23 rushing yards, and Noble’s lone reception for 62 yards made him the team’s receiving leader. Scobee missed the attempted 60-yard field goal. Jason Babin, Jeremy Mincey, and Andre Branch sacked Carson Palmer for a loss of 17 yards. Johnathan Cyprien led the team with eight solo tackles.
Marcedes Lewis and Mike Sims-Walker scored touchdowns. David Garrard completed 23 out of 43 attempted passes for 282 yards, had a pass intercepted, and was sacked four times for a loss of seven yards. Maurice Jones-Drew led the team with 66 rushing yards, and Sims-Walker led with 106 receiving yards. Josh Scobee made one of the two attempted field goals. Justin Durant led the team with nine combined tackles.
