– Sometimes a win restores a team's dignity and pride. For some teams, that's enough, but for others, they want more. The Steelers' victory over the Cincinnati Bengals wasn't surprising, considering the Bengals embarrassed the Steelers in their last matchup, and the Steelers were humiliated the previous week against the Los Angeles Chargers, so the Steelers were motivated to right the ship.
– But that's part of the problem. Above-standard play can't always be the response following humiliating losses. That's not what championship character looks like. We've seen enough championships and winning teams to recognize team resolve that is more frequently and consistently evident than this.
– Although redemption is a character trait becoming of championship teams, I would question why one must redeem itself so frequently.
