The Green Bay Packers are looking to build more momentum when they face off against the Minnesota Vikings for the first time in the 2025 NFL season after beating the New York Giants.
This is also a crucial matchup for both teams, as the race to the top of the NFC North standings heats up. This is also going to be the first taste of the Packers-Vikings rivalry for Green Bay star defensive end Micah Parsons, who was traded by the Dallas Cowboys to his current team just before the start of the 2025 NFL season in exchange for two future draft picks and veteran defensive tackle Kenny Clark.
That being said, Parsons has experience sharing the field with Minnesota. In fact, he was a menace to Minnesota in a 2022 matchup between the Cowboys and the Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
Via Green Bay’s official website:
DL Micah Parsons last played Minnesota in 2022 and posted two sacks, five QB hits and a forced fumble. it was the only time since 2000 that a player has hit all those marks against Minnesota. Parsons only other game against the Vikings came in 2021 and he posted a career-high four tackles for a loss.
Can Packers’ Parsons wreak havoc against Minnesota again this coming weekend?

Given how porous the Vikings’ pass protection has been this season, Parsons must be licking his chops over the prospect of coming up with another huge performance.
The Vikings enter Week 12 with 34 sacks allowed — tied for fourth-highest in the league to date. Minnesota quarterback JJ McCarthy has been sacked a total of 15 times in his five appearances this season.
In any case, it will be interesting to see if Parsons could reintroduce himself in such a devastating manner again to Minnesota.
