After being taken off while in action with the Brazil national team, Real Madrid have officially confirmed that defender Eder Militao has suffered an injury in his right leg.
“Following tests carried out today on our player Eder Militao by Real Madrid’s medical services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in the adductor longus muscle of his right leg. His recovery will be monitored.”
Militao started for Brazil against Tunisia last night in a friendly, but complained of discomfort very soon after kickoff.
However, the Selecao manager, Carlo Ancelotti, chose to keep him on the pitch before having to make a change in the 60th minute, when the defender could no longer continue.

Having returned to the club and undergone tests today, Militao is now understood to have suffered an injury in his adductor muscle.
While the statement from Real Madrid does not specify a recovery period, journalist Melchor Ruiz of COPE reports that the player will be out of action for two weeks.
It means that Militao will miss the upcoming matches against Elche, Olympiacos, Girona, and Athletic club, which will be a major blow for Xabi Alonso and Real Madrid.
After all, Antonio Rudiger is still not ready to return, David Alaba continues to battle fitness issues, and Dean Huijsen also returned from international duty carrying a knock.
Militao has been one of Real Madrid’s best and most consistent performers so far this season and his absence will be felt.
