**West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo is hoping to bring in Fulham winger Adama Traore during the January transfer window, according to insider EXWHUEmployee.**
Speaking on _The West Ham Way Podcast_ (quotes via [their website](https://www.thewesthamway.com/2025/11/18/attributes-we-want-exwhuemployee-west-ham-january-transfer-update/)), Ex said that the Hammers head coach is keen to be reunited with the player he managed at Wolves:
“Traore is a player that Nuno wants and with his price tag likely to be quite reasonable.”
The Spanish international is set to have a very low valuation in January as he will have reached the final six months of his contract.
Traore is unlikely to be handed a new deal by Fulham as Cottagers boss Marc Silva has started him just once in the Premier League this season, and they will likely be amenable to selling him to ensure he doesn’t leave on a free transfer next summer.
The West Ham target has been described as “unplayable”

Speaking after Liverpool faced Wolves at the start of 2020, then manager Jurgen Klopp was extremely complimentary about the forward’s abilities:
“I would say he is, pretty much, unplayable. I’ve said it now a couple of times, and it is still true. He is now not only a winger anymore; he keeps the ball, holds the ball and sets up goals, obviously. That makes it so difficult; each ball you lose is 100% a counterattack and half a goal.”

While the 29-year-old can play on the left flank or through the middle, his favoured position is on the right wing, which does raise questions about how often he would play.
Traore would be in direct competition with Jarrod Bowen, although it could be argued that the club captain may need to play centrally anyway if a new No.9 is not signed.
