NY Giants running back Cam Skattebo faced backlash after he appeared on WWE RAW in Madison Square Garden.
On WWE RAW, Cam Skattebo joined a brawl with The Judgment Day, even though Skattebo is recovering from a serious, season-ending injury that includes an ankle dislocation, an open tibia fracture and a ruptured deltoid ligament.
After the heated brawl, many NY Giants fans questioned why Cam Skattebo took part in any kind of physical segment while injured. Skattebo fired back at fans on Twitter/X and made it clear he wasn’t apologizing.
He wrote, “Aye, honestly if you don’t like that I’m having a good time while dealing with a tough time, then just go ahead and unfollow and casually move on. I’m not able to play football and have the fun I’ve been having my whole life so I am doing things outside the box trying to find stuff to keep me happy. Enjoy the rest of y’all’s week and just don’t talk about me if you ain’t got nothing nice to say ?”
Cam Skattebo’s segment took place right after John Cena, Rey Mysterio and Sheamus defeated Judgment Day in a six-man tag match. He was at ringside during an interview promoting comedian Andrew Schulz’s upcoming Netflix special.
Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh, and Finn Bálor interrupted the interview. Mysterio took the mic and mocked Schulz and the Giants players behind him, focusing especially on Skattebo by taking shots at the Giants’ lack of winning championships.
This led to Dominik Mysterio shoving Andrew Schulz, Cam Skattebo jumped in and pushed JD McDonagh to the ground. This sparked a short brawl over the barricade. Skattebo’s teammates rushed in and exchanged shoves with Judgment Day members until officials stepped in to break everything up.
