Kostas Tsimikas is currently on a season-long loan at AS Roma.
There was a lot of change over the summer for the Reds, with plenty of new faces arriving, but also many older stars departing.
One of these was the left-back Tsimikas, with the 29-year-old going out on loan following the arrival of Milos Kerkez.

There was plenty of debate over the summer whether it would be him or Andy Robertson who left, but both have shown that they have made the right decision.
In fact, Tsimikas could still have a future at Anfield, and he showed exactly why over the past week.

Kostas Tsimikas had two good games for Greece
Tsimikas has had a decent start to life in Rome, with the defender playing as a left wing-back in a 3-4-3 formation, meaning he can show his attacking prowess.
He might not have played as much as he would have liked, but he, of course, got picked for his national team and played the full 90 minutes in both.
He had a good game against Scotland too, winning the majority of his duels, making eight recoveries and winning all his tackles, but he did not stop there.

Against Belarus, he put in a man of the match display and was excellent at the back, with this being one of the reasons they kept a clean sheet.
As per sofascore, he won all his tackles, made eight recoveries and won seven of his 10 ground duels, showing just how dominant he was.

He will now hope to take this form back to Italy with him and get into the Roma squad more regularly, as if he does, he could be in with a shout of having a future at Liverpool.
Kostas Tsimikas’ future depends on Andy Robertson
Liverpool had three left-backs at one point in the summer, which is why one of them had to go, whether that be permanently or on loan.
But in the summer, things could be very different as Tsimikas will likely return, but whether he stays is another thing.
Robertson is out of contract in the summer but he could still sign an extension, but if he does, that will likely be the end of Tsimikas’ Anfield career.
If he leaves on a free transfer, though, then the Greek defender might be kept around as the experienced one who can help Kerkez develop, as more change might not be a good thing.
For now, all he needs to do is keep plugging away because if he does this, then he might give Arne Slot a selection headache when he returns.
