COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Haslam Sports Group’s Columbus Crew soccer stadium will have a new name in 2026, with the club announcing the end of a naming rights deal with mortgage lender Lower.com.
The stadium has been known as Lower.com Field since its opening in 2021. Sports Business Journal reported at the time that the deal was worth $3 million to $4 million a year.
The Crew said in its announcement this week that it would work with Legends Global to secure and negotiate a new stadium naming rights partnership beginning in 2026.
Legends Global is the same company the Cleveland Browns worked with in 2024 to secure the Huntington Bank Field as the naming rights for the city-owned football stadium on the lakefront, a name that the club has said will carry over to its new stadium in Brook Park. Legends Global is also working with the Browns on suite sales, premium seating and other sponsorships for the new stadium.
Browns owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam in 2020 founded the Haslam Sports Group. In addition to the Browns and Crew, HSG is a part-owner of the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Crew said that although its soccer stadium will have a new name in 2026, it will continue to partner with Lower.com “under a new multi-year agreement that supports the Club, the fans and the Columbus community.”
No further information was released about a potential new name for the Columbus stadium.
The Crew stadium is owned by the Confluence Community Authority, a special authority formed by Columbus in 2019. It a similar setup to what HSG has said it is working with the city of Brook Park to create. Such a public, nonprofit under Ohio law could own the stadium, manage the lease and oversee broader site development.
