As the league plans to potentially have every NFL team play internationally in the future, an NFL report from NBC’s Pro Football Talk revealed that the New Orleans Saints may already have their fate sealed for next season with their trip abroad.

Saints president Dennis Lauscha confirmed Tuesday that he expects his team to play in Paris, France during the 2026 season as the league aims to break ground on a new country that will host football games yearly.

In previous seasons, the Saints have played three games overseas, but all of them took place in London, England. Their most recent appearance came in 2022 when the Saints lost to the Minnesota Vikings 28-25 at Wembley Stadium.

Paris makes a lot of sense for the Saints considering New Orleans has strong French influence in the city over its many years of being established as one of the cultural hubs of the United States.

In 2025, the NFL debuted in Germany and Spain for the first time and many considered both games huge success stories as the league builds strong footprints in each new market.
