Dani Olmo reckons player Chelsea let go is now even better than Cole Palmer

Cole Palmer has been one of the big success stories in modern history when it comes to Chelsea’s transfer business in recent history.

The Blues took a chance on a player who was struggling for minutes at Manchester City, and now has 74 goal contributions in his first 101 games.

It is clear how important he has become to Chelsea in how desperate fans are to see Palmer return from his latest injury problem.

Who will have the better career at Chelsea?

The latest update is that Palmer will not be fit to face Barcelona in the Champions League, with the next target being for him to feature against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

Dani Olmo picks Jamal Musiala over Cole Palmer

Palmer ranked eighth in the 2025 Ballon d’Or awards, meaning world football recognises him as one of the best in the world.

However, Spain midfielder Dani Olmo has actually rated Jamal Musiala as a better talent than the England international, selecting him in a direct comparison between the two.

Musiala has enjoyed an excellent career so far at Bayern Munich after making the decision to leave Chelsea when he was part of the club’s academy.

Chelsea have been linked with signing Musiala in recent transfer windows, however any deal could set them back a club-record fee due to the heights he’s reached.

In February, the Germany international signed a new contract that is set to keep him in Munich until 2030.
