LeBron James shared a big update on his firstborn, Bronny James, who is playing his second NBA season with the Los Angeles Lakers. After a tumultuous rookie season in which the team and his father received criticism from fans and analysts, the young guard is set to elevate his game.
Bronny James has played nine games this season, which is a third of what he played in the 2024-25 campaign. After making his season debut, LeBron James reflected on his son’s development, but also revealed that Bronny doesn’t live with him anymore.

“Man, it’s been great to see, to watch, and he’s still young, just turned 21 not too long ago, and he’s still learning, still getting better with each and every rep,” James said. “I think he’s enjoying the process. I think you can obviously ask him more than me. He’s not a resident anymore, so we don’t talk as much; he has his own place.”
LeBron says Bronny moved out and got his OWN place: “He’s not a resident anymore” 👀
Bron says they don’t talk as much then yells over to ask Bronny how he’s doing 🤣

After reporters laughed, LeBron shouted at Bronny to ask how he was.
Ahead of his freshman season with Arizona, Bryce Maximus also left the James household in Los Angeles. It was a matter of time before Bronny, a professional player, got his own place, too.
