Nicolas Jackson has well and truly shaken off his Senegal curse since leaving Chelsea

Nicolas Jackson will likely have been hoping to make more of an impact for his new side since he got his move away from Chelsea over the summer.

Jackson pushed his way out of the club just when it looked as if they were set to change their minds following the injury to Liam Delap early in the season.

Nevertheless, the Blues received a big fee for Jackson’s loan, although he has struggled to break into the Bayern Munich team due to the excellent form of Harry Kane.

The Senegal international has just one goal to his name in the Bundesliga so far, however has enjoyed a very strong break away with his country.

Nicolas Jackson has broken his Senegal curse since leaving Chelsea

Jackson was used off the bench in a defeat to an Estevao Willian-inspired Brazil, however enjoyed a far more prolific performance against Kenya, scoring twice.

These goals took his total international tally to five, and well and truly put an end to a bizarre streak he had gone through for his country.

In his first 20 appearances for Senegal, the striker had found the net only once, with this coinciding with his time at Stamford Bridge too.

Since then, he has four goals in five games, and will be looking to make a serious impact in this winter’s African Cup of Nations.

Jackson’s stance on Chelsea return

It has been reported that Bayern are not currently looking to sign Jackson permanently, meaning he would be set for a return to West London.

Despite this, Jackson is not keen on playing for Chelsea again, meaning the Blues are likely going to be back to the drawing board when it comes to finding a new side for him.

There are a number of clubs who could be on the lookout for a new striker at the end of the season, with Juventus an elite European side who are struggling for goals this season.
