Chicago Bears open practice window for Kyler Gordon

LAKE FOREST, Ill., — Some more help is potentially coming to the Chicago Bears' secondary as the stretch run of the season is here. On Wednesday, the Bears announced that they are opening the 21-day practice window for defensive back Kyler Gordon.

The nickel can begin practicing on Wednesday and the team has 21 days to activate him from injured reserve for his return.

Gordon has missed the past four weeks due to a hamstring injury he suffered in practice. Prior to that, he started the season on injured reserve missing the first four games of the year with a hamstring injury.

The news comes just a few days after the team also opened up the practice window for defensive back Jaylon Johnson. Without Gordon and Johnson, the Bears' defense has leaned on Tyrique Stevenson, Nahshon Wright and recently signed C.J. Gardner-Johnson.
