West Ham and Nuno Espirito Santo may hold the keys to shaping the future of Everton midfielder James Garner in January.
The former Manchester United midfielder has been a regular for David Moyes at Everton, but he could be on the move in the coming weeks.
West Ham are considering new midfielders and a move for the 24-year-old cannot be ruled out at this stage.

West Ham will need to shell out £20m for James Garner
Lucas Paqueta, Tomas Soucek and Mateus Fernandes have been the preferred options for Nuno this season, with Freddie Potts also getting a decent shot to prove his worth.
However, despite having four quality options, the Hammers are keen on signing Garner from Everton, according to ExWHUEmployee.
While Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Maino is also on West Ham’s radar, the East London club continue to keep tabs on Garner.

They are not the only Premier League side keen on signing the English midfielder, as Newcastle are in the hunt to secure his services.
Garner’s deal at Everton runs out in the summer, but the Toffees hold the option to extend it by another year, taking it to 2027.

Due to this, Chronicle Live report that any club keen on signing him in January will need to shell out a £20million fee.

Nuno holds bargaining power as Everton eye James Ward-Prowse
The aforementioned asking fee may reduce significantly as TEAMtalk report that Everton are keen on James Ward-Prowse.
Nuno wants to cash in on the 31-year-old, who is currently out of favour at the London Stadium.
The 11-cap England international is arguably sixth in the pecking order, but Moyes remains keen on a reunion, having shared a great bond at West Ham.
The Hammers could potentially include Ward-Prowse in any deal to sign Garner and that would be the financially viable thing to do.
Garner would walk into the playing eleven and, at 24, be an impeccable long-term signing for the 2023 Europa Conference League winners.
