Red Sox’s Alex Cora Gives Vote Of Confidence To Craig Breslow

Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora has never been one to pull punches — but he also doesn’t mind giving out flowers.

Cora [made an appearance on _Foul Territory_](https://x.com/FoulTerritoryTV/status/1991220775907475674?s=20) on Wednesday, and was asked his thoughts on working alongside chief baseball officer Craig Breslow — sharing effusive praise of his cohort.

“He did an amazing job last year. I know a lot of people don’t give him credit, but if you look at the offseason we had last year — Aroldis Chapman, Justin Wilson, Alex Bregman, Garrett Crochet — three all stars… Let him be, let him do the job.”

Breslow has been pretty clear about his intentions this offseason, stating that the club intends on adding [frontline starting pitching and a middle-of-the-order bat](https://nesn.com/2025/11/craig-breslow-emphasizes-red-soxs-offseason-goals-at-gm-meetings/) — particularly a No. 2 starter that can help reshape the rotation and someone who can replace the production lost after trading Rafael Devers to the San Francisco Giants.

Cora will be able to work with that, and trusts that goal will be complete by the time his team convenes for spring training in Fort Myers, Fla. on Feb. 12.
