The Los Angeles Rams moved on from one All-Pro wide receiver to another. Cooper Kupp left this offseason, and the Rams brought in Davante Adams.

For years with the Green Bay Packers, Adams watched Matthew Stafford work from the other side of the field. Now, the former NFC North rivals have become not only teammates but close friends.

Adams recently got honest about his relationship with Stafford.

“He’s just so cool. Truly cool, not like he’s trying to be cool. He’s just literally himself. I just texted him the other day, and I was like, ‘Bro, working with you has been amazing.’ The communication, the personality, he’s just the same exact dude every day. He’s on the most Tom Brady trajectory in many ways,” Adams said.

Stafford is playing arguably the best football of his career. The former Detroit Lions star is among the leading candidates for NFL MVP.

He has the swagger and confidence of a quarterback who has seen and mastered every single type of coverage. Also, with elite pass catchers like Puka Nacua and Adams, the Rams have to like their chances regardless of the matchup.

Stafford has been a part of some of the greatest seasons by wide receivers in NFL history. That includes Calvin Johnson’s record-setting campaign with the Lions, and Kupp’s Triple Crown year with the Rams.

Stafford has won the Super Bowl with Los Angeles, and it wouldn’t be much of a surprise to see him get back there this season. The Rams have an elite defense, one of the most talented passers the game has ever seen, a bright head coach, and a myriad of weapons. But more than that, it seems like they also like one another.
