The Pittsburgh Steelers hosted defensive lineman Anthony Goodlow for a visit Wednesday, per reporter Aaron Wilson.
This is the second time Pittsburgh has shown interest in Goodlow. The team worked him out, though did not sign, him in October 2024.
Goodlow has appeared in three games for the Arizona Cardinals this season, recording three tackles. He’s logged 36 snaps.
Undrafted in 2024, he was initially signed by the Los Angeles Rams and spent the summer in their training camp. He was placed on injured reserve in late August before being waived with an injury settlement in early September.
He signed with the Cardinals’ practice squad that October and re-upped on a futures contract in January. He spent the summer in Arizona and failed to make the initial 53-man roster but signed to the practice squad. Beginning in Week 3, Goodlow was elevated to the Active/Inactive roster and appeared in games against the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, and Indianapolis Colts. The Cardinals released him on Oct. 18.
With the Los Angeles Rams last year, Goodlow appeared in two preseason games and registered one sack and two solo tackles. He had six tackles and four pressures with the Cardinals during the preseason this year.
Goodlow began his career at Tulsa before transferring to Oklahoma State for his final season. With the Cowboys, he recorded 42 tackles (seven for a loss) with three sacks. At his Pro Day, he measured in at 6042, 283 pounds with 34 5/8-inch arms. He ran a 4.95 40-yard dash.
Pittsburgh has no known injuries along its defensive line, though Cam Heyward receives rest throughout the week. On the 53-man roster are Heyward, Keeanu Benton, Derrick Harmon, Yahya Black, Logan Lee, Esezi Otomewo, and Brodric Martin-Rhodes. Kyler Baugh is on the team’s practice squad.
The Steelers’ practice squad is currently full and signing Goodlow would require a corresponding move.
