Eagles' first Week 12 injury update goes back to square one with Cam Jurgens

Philadelphia Eagles fans are experiencing some major déjà vu with the injury report, as once again, center Cam Jurgens is on it and isn't practicing.

Jurgens left the Eagles' 16-9 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 11 early due to a concussion and is now going through concussion protocol. He was joined by starting right tackle Lane Johnson, who also did not practice and is not expected to play in the next four to six weeks with the Lisfranc sprain in his foot that he also got in the Lions game.

The Eagles' new edge rusher, Jaelan Phillips, is on the injury report for the first time since joining Philly, as he was limited with a shoulder injury. Phillips played the whole game against the Lions, so it's unclear whether the injury is serious or not.

Two other players showed up on the report as full participants. It's good news for offensive lineman Willie Lampkin and Myles Hinton, who both recently had their 21-day practice windows opened after being placed on IR before the beginning of the season.

Eagles now faces even bigger issues on the offensive line

The Eagles have their solution for Lane Johnson, as it will be Fred Johnson filling in at right tackle. Fred Johnson has experience there, having filled in during games for Lane Johnson, including his outstanding performance in relief back in Week 3 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Philly could really use Jurgens in the lineup, but the Eagles have already gone multiple games this season without him after his knee injury. Brett Toth was the starter in his place and is expected to do the same.

Phillips is not as much of a concern since he still practiced, but it is worth monitoring at least for the time being. With Nolan Smith Jr. and Jalyx Hunt playing well, there is insurance in case things go off the wall for Phillips this week.

The Eagles have been cursed on the offensive line with injuries and inconsistent performances. Hopefully, Jurgens' concussion is not as bad as some might think.
