Several Illnesses Impact Bucs Injury Report

The Bucs had a walkthrough practice on Wednesday like they’ve typically had in recent weeks. This one was slightly different, though, as this walkthrough was out of a necessity more than anything else. There was an illness that has gone around Tampa Bay’s building that hit several Bucs players and coaches. Head coach Todd Bowles believed that it may have gone up to about 20 people.

“Unfortunately, this Wednesday, a lot of people have taken ill,” Bowles said. “There is a bug going around the building. We had about five coaches and about 15 players down, so that helped aid in this walkthrough. There’s nothing we can really do about that today.”

So as if going against the Rams wasn’t already difficult enough, they also have to deal with this bug. Outside of the illnesses, there are a couple of Bucs players that have garnered attention. Cornerback Jamel Dean was seen at the walkthrough, but just stood around when drills were gong on. He was listed as did not participate.

Running back Bucky Irving and wide receiver Chris Godwin made their returns last week to practice but couldn’t go in the game. Their status continued to be limited and we’ll see how they progress the rest of the week. Outside linebacker had a lot of news with Haason Reddick out and Chris Braswell Jr. popping up with a new injury. He was also out. But Tampa Bay did have Markees Watts listed as a full participant, so he could be returning soon. Starting offensive guard was another example of a player that was out there but not participating. It’s likely he’s out [this week once again.](http://
