Packers’ Xavier McKinney makes huge guarantee about defense amid Super Bowl quest

The Green Bay Packers are heading into Week 12 of the 2025 NFL season with some momentum after getting back on trackwith a 27-20 victory on the road over the New York Giants. Despite the win, there is still plenty of work left for Green Bay in polishing not just its offense but its defense as well.

Against the Giants, Green Bay allowed the Jameis Winston-led New York attack to win the yards battle. The Giants had 336 total yards to just 296 by Jordan Love and company. The Giants also had a 50 percent success rate on third downs, going 7-of-14 in those situations.

However, the Packers’ stop unit managed to force two New York turnovers, including a crucial interception by safety Evan Williams late in the fourth quarter that helped seal the deal for Green Bay.

It was just the fourth pick of the season for Green Bay, but safety Xavier McKinney believes that there will be more coming.

Asked Xavier McKinney if they can win SB that way.

“The picks are gonna come. Believe me when I tell you, the picks will come.”

McKinney has two of Green Bay’s four total defensive picks so far in the 2025 NFL season, but if you ask him, he’s likely to say he’ll get more in the coming games. Up next for Green Bay is aWeek 12 meeting with the Minnesota Vikings, who are tied for the most interceptions thrown this seasonwith 13 picks.
