Depot After Dark: Dolphins Sign CB, Lamar Jackson Doesn’t Practice, Steelers’ Super Bowl Odds

A Steelers Depot daily segment. A quick hit of some Pittsburgh Steelers-related stories that may not require a complete article, but nuggets worth mentioning and passing on to you guys.

Your Depot After Dark for Nov. 19.

DOLPHINS SIGN CB

The Steelers’ remaining schedule doesn’t look easy. They’ve got seven games remaining, and only two of those will be against teams with losing records. One of those matchups will be against the Miami Dolphins in Week 15. While the Dolphins have been one of the worst teams in the league, they’ve managed to pull off a few upsets.

The Dolphins recently lost corner JuJu Brents for the year, but they’ve added a new corner to make up for that loss. The team announced on Twitter that they’ve signed corner A.J. Green off of the Los Angeles Rams’ practice squad. Green has experience in the AFC North, too. He played with the Cleveland Browns from 2020-2023. We’ll see if that helps him if he plays against the Steelers in a few weeks.

LAMAR JACKSON DOESN’T PRACTICE

The Baltimore Ravens have built some momentum after starting out the year at 1-5. Now, they’re 5-5 and only one game behind the Steelers in the AFC North. However, they’re still dealing with some issues. One of the biggest reasons for their rough start was that Lamar Jackson got injured. While he’s been back for several games, he might not be at full health.

For example, Jackson didn’t practice on Wednesday, as Around the NFL shared on Twitter. Jackson is dealing with an ankle injury. Previously, he had a hamstring injury that caused him to miss several games. However, it seems unlikely that Jackson will miss the Ravens’ game this week. The Ravens are probably just being careful with their franchise quarterback. However, it’s a situation worth monitoring.

STEELERS’ SUPER BOWL ODDS

The Steelers are currently in first place in the AFC North and also the fourth seed in the playoffs. However, those standings are far from set in stone. The Ravens could still take the division crown from the Steelers. Pittsburgh has Super Bowl aspirations, but they’re still long shots.

DraftKings has the Steelers’ Super Bowl odds currently at +10,000. They are far from favorites, with the Ravens still far in front of them at +1,200. Some of the other teams that the Steelers are behind are the Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans, and San Francisco 49ers. Hopefully, the Steelers’ odds improve as the season goes on.
